Information for the connoisseurs: The Harp Concerto in B-flat Major by G. F. Handel was the first composition for pedal harp. Most of the transcriptions done for Masters of Music have been done by Paul Hurst, with adaptations for solo harp of Movements 1 and 10 from his symphonic work, Sequoia ‘Rhapsody. Bach's Andante was transcribed by Marcel Grandjany. The Moldau by B. Smetana, was transcribed by Hanus Trnecek for harp, with Hurst’s additions taken from the original Smetana score and some revisions of the Trnecek transcription. |
